““¡Fandango!” is an in-depth reflection on Spanish idiosyncrasy, a fusion of tradition and avant-garde that invites us to explore the most complex and controversial aspects of our culture. From the construction of our identity and historical memory to the clichés that permeate the image of Spain: gaiety, picaresque, sacrifice and deep family roots, all of which are always in tension with the present. 

Inspired by David Lagos’ album Hodierno, this extravagant flamenco takes a critical, nostalgic and celebratory look at everything we’re proud of and questions the things we’re not so comfortable with. 

“¡Fandango!” invites us to reflect on who we are and how we see ourselves in a Spain that is constantly evolving.
