Centro Danza Matadero hosts the world première of a new piece by the Compañía de Danza Jesús Carmona.

Tentativo (Basado en paisajes reales), with choreography by Jesús Carmona, musical direction by Luis Luque and Jesús Carmona, and musical direction by Manu Masaedo, is an ambitious production that, without eschewing conceptual investigation or the transformative impulse of flamenco, is presented as a profoundly sensory and open stage experience.

Although the work stems from an inner reflection on memory, body, and time—understood as territories where art interweaves with physics, emotion, and history—what is most essential for us is that the audience should be able to create its own personal narrative through the fullness of dance and flamenco. Because dance needs no translation: just presence and gaze. Just dedication.

This show does not set out to offer conclusive answers, but rather to stimulate intimate questions. In each of the seven performances that inaugurate this new artistic chapter, Jesús Carmona and his team will invite each spectator to embark on their own journey.

The company will then begin a national and international tour, taking this work to other audiences and stages. Because, at the end of the day, above and beyond the concept, what remains is dance. And dance, when it is genuine, says it all, without needing to explain anything.
